"Grand Theft Parsons" is a film based on the true story of the final days of musician Gram Parsons, a pioneer of country rock who passed away in 1973. The film portrays the close relationship between Parsons and Kaufman, and the lengths to which Kaufman went to fulfill his friend's final wish. The film's standout performances come from Johnny Knoxville and Christina Applegate, who plays Barbara Mansfield, Parsons' girlfriend.
