"Grand Theft Parsons" is a film based on the true story of the final days of musician Gram Parsons, a pioneer of country rock who passed away in 1973. The film stars Johnny Knoxville as Phil Kaufman, Parsons' friend and road manager, who honors Parsons' wishes to have his body cremated in the Joshua Tree National Park after his death.
