Adapted from author David Nicholls' critically acclaimed novel of the same name, director Lone Scherfig's One Day stars Anne Hathaway as a principled working-class girl who forges a unique bond with a wealthy jet-setter that spans two decades. Dexter is also graduating, though unlike Emma he looks forward to a future of comfort and privilege. "Grand Theft Parsons" - A Bittersweet Tribute to a Legendary Musician

"Grand Theft Parsons" is a film based on the true story of the final days of musician Gram Parsons, a pioneer of country rock who passed away in 1973. The film stars Johnny Knoxville as Phil Kaufman, Parsons' friend and road manager, who honors Parsons' wishes to have his body cremated in the Joshua Tree National Park after his death. The film is a bittersweet tribute to the legendary musician, capturing his creative genius and his struggles with substance abuse. The film portrays the close relationship between Parsons and Kaufman, and the lengths to which Kaufman went to fulfill his friend's final wish. The film's standout performances come from Johnny Knoxville and Christina Applegate, who plays Barbara Mansfield, Parsons' girlfriend.
